The Town of Altavista Public Works Department strives to provide for a safe, clean, healthy, and aesthetically pleasing environment within the Town.  The department services include garbage collection, yard waste services, street and right of way service & maintenance, park maintenance, infrastructure maintenance, snow removal, traffic control, stormwater system maintenance, facilities maintenance, fall leaf collection, reading water meters, field operations for all water and wastewater infrastructure and provide fleet maintenance for Town vehicles and equipment.
