Reservations


The Booker Building is available by rental only. Rental of the Booker Building requires a security deposit of $150.
If alcohol is served a $250 security deposit is required.                                  

Rental rates are as follows:
 
Fund Raising Activities: $150.00 for 4 hours Alta 0021 Booker Building
Non-Fund Raising Activities: $100.00 for 4 hours
Weddings or Receptions: 4 hrs. $100.00, 8 hrs. $200.00, 12 hrs. $225.00, All day $275.00

Renters are required to clean the Booker Building after the event. A check list is provided to the renter. Renters will have a $150 custodial fee deducted from their security deposit if the building is not cleaned properly.

The Booker Building may be reserved at Town Hall. Call 369-5001 to verify availability. Security deposit must be paid at time of reservation. Rental fee must be paid in full one-week prior to event. Two signatures are required for rental.

The Booker Building does not have air conditioning or kitchen facilities. Grills may not be used inside the building. Alcoholic beverages are allowed; however, renter must obtain a temporary license from the Virginia ABC in Lynchburg and must pay for an off-duty police officer to be present during the entire event.

Picnic Pavilion Reservations

Shreve Park and English Park each have a small and large picnic pavilion available for rental.

Large: Rental fee is $50.00 for 4 Hours 12 Tables Accommodates approximately 100 people Altavista Pavillion
Small: Rental fee is $25.00 for 4 Hours 6 Tables Accommodates approximately 50 people

There are no on-site grills. You may bring a grill to use, but grills may not be used underneath the pavilion itself.                                                                 
Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in all Town parks.

Pavilions may be reserved at Town Hall. Call 434-369-5001 to verify availability.  Rental fee must be paid at time of reservation. All parks close at dark.  Please note: the pavilion at English Park at the splash pad is not available for rental during the operation of the splash pad, which is between Memorial Day and Labor Day .

When not reserved by any group, pavilions are available free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis.
